Pros of the CIGMAN CT-1200

Moving on, the range finder has other pros that should be called out, such as the new external color display. This allows you to snap onto your object and see the distance without having to peer through the tiny eyehole. You can see this feature in the banner image up above. While this may not constitute a significant advantage for golfers specifically, these tools occasionally find application beyond the sport itself (hunting / target practice), warranting their inclusion in our review. Cons of the CIGMAN CT-1200
The CIGMAN CT-1200 laser range finder has several pros that can persuade anyone to give it a try! It’s potentially the most affordable range finder on the market. However, given its cheap price, it does have some small drawbacks worth noting.
For example, the magnet is basically worthless. I had it on the side of my cart and it fell off on the third hole when we hit a mediocre-sized bump. The front plastic piece fell off, but the range finder was not damaged. Full disclosure, I’ve been told this model now contains a new and improved magnet, but I wanted to mention this in the version I tested.
Given that information, you can see that the physical quality of the device won’t hold up to some of the $400+ top-name comparables like the Bushnell, RedTiger or Callaway. Outside of that, this version also only has magnification up to 6x as opposed to its prior versions (CT-1000 and CT-1000 PRO), which contain 7x zoom. The CIGMAN laser range finder also has no waterproof rating at the moment, which gives it some uncertainty in different weather conditions. A final note, from my personal testing, is that I feel like the visibility and locking feature within the eye hole is lacking a bit. It can sometimes be hard to lock onto the flag (or target), especially when compared against other range finders. Similar to the pros, here are the downsides in a more concise list.

CT-1200 Final Verdict
The CT-1200 CIGMAN laser range finder is a top-of-the-line option for the price you have to pay, and it provides some very advanced features for such a low price tag. The performance is great, the accuracy is on-point, and it has additional features like slope and an external color display that is very convenient to have which sets it apart from any other range finder in this price range. Of course, there are things that your $400+ range finders will have that make them superior, but this truly is a good option for folks not looking to spend that kind of money.
